加拿大一名女飼主蘿倫（Lauren Lieberman）日前前往父母家接愛犬查理（Charlie）時，平時乖巧的黃金獵犬竟反常拒絕回家。幾小時後，蘿倫接獲90歲祖母逝世的噩耗，這才驚覺愛犬疑似提前感知親人將離世，想留在現場陪伴。
據了解，飼主蘿倫時常在網路上分享愛犬查理的日常生活，累積逾16萬名粉絲追蹤。上週她如常前往父母住處準備帶寵物返家時，遭遇了出乎意料的情況。畫面顯示，查理靜靜坐在門口不肯移動，不論蘿倫如何安撫，甚至拿出牠平時最愛的零食杯（Pup cup）作為誘因，查理依然無動於衷。蘿倫事後回憶，當時查理的表情透露出一股異常的哀傷，令她百思不得其解。
就在僵持結束後的數小時，蘿倫接獲母親來電，告知家中高齡90歲的祖母已安詳離世。此時她才恍然大悟，愛犬當下的反常舉動，極可能是已經察覺到老人家生命即將走到盡頭，因而堅持留在屋內陪伴家人。這段紀錄影片曝光後，迅速吸引超過600萬次觀看，許多網友紛紛留言表示犬隻不僅是寵物更是家人，其敏銳的靈性與忠誠，再次證明了動物與人類之間難以言喻的深厚羈絆。
